It seemed like a good idea…

..at the time.  Judging by his face, Ethan has changed his mind.  Too late.  We are on Once we start this thing, we have to finish.  I explained to Ethan I had little idea how dyeing hair actually went…the pro’s and con’s of it.  The smell.  The burning.  Shrug, what do I know about doing this to someone else.  Doesn’t matter.  I’m dad and he trusts me to perform my fatherly duties.  (I must have missed the small print on this one.)

The results:  Only a few missed spots.  Nothing remedied by .. scissors.  <g>

Photogs in the house!

I cannot think of a thing to write, but my head is full of thoughts. It’s like watching a downpour of confetti and trying to concentrate on a single one. All that really matters is this; life is good. The family is warm, fed, and comfortable. The future looks bright. And now – a picture of yours truly, taken by my good friend Randy. I needed a headshot, et voila.

And, well, as I can’t make a post without putting up an image I’ve taken.  I introduce, Randy Daly:

I’d want him on my side in a bar fight.  (his bark is worse than his bite, but don’t tell him I said that!) <g>

They grow up so fast…

Soon to be 16… and counting.

He’s started to plan his 16th birthday party.  I’m going out.

He’s reading the ICBC book for new drivers. *gulp*..  He does have a good teacher though.

He describes the virtues of lulu lemon pants.  Can’t argue with him.

It feels like yesterday I would tuck him into his crib.  I feel far too young to have a boy turning into a man.

I tell you one thing….it’s a hell of an experience.

I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
